Volunteer Co-ordinator

Purpose of the role

To act as a focal point for volunteering within the club, raising the profile of volunteering and the support the club wishes to offer volunteers.

Responsible to

Farnham Park Baseball and Softball Club Committee

Skills needed

  • Enthusiastic and a good motivator

Main duties

  • To act as the main point of contact for all volunteers.
  • Must know all the club volunteers and potential volunteers.
  • Supervise and oversee all volunteering.
  • Liaise with the Chairperson to ensure that all tasks required to run the club are being carried out.
  • Co-ordinate the implementation of the volunteering recruitment, training and support plans.
  • Ensure all jobs have a job description.
  • Recognise and nominate volunteers for awards.
  • Keep all volunteering paperwork up to date.
  • Identify new sources of volunteers.
  • Help organise social events.

Special conditions

If the Volunteer Co-ordinators has contact with young people or vulnerable adults they must have a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.
