Farnham Park Baseball and Softball Club
Originally called Chalfont Softball Club, Farnham Park Baseball and Softball Club
has been running since 2004 and plays in the Windsor and
Maidenhead District Mixed Softball League. Having started life in Chalfont St. Peter
we are now based at the Farnham Park Baseball and Softball Facility in Farnham Royal.
For those that are not sure what softball is, it is a sport that is very similar to
baseball. It is predominantly played in this country by teams with an equal number of
men and women, making it a very social and fun sport to play. It is an incredibly easy
sport to pick up and we find that anyone that has an eye for a ball, regardless of age,
can quickly become a good player.
The softball league season runs from early May until late August. The games are played
on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:45pm. We play our home league games at Farnham Park
Baseball and Softball Facility before heading to the South Buckinghamshire Golf Club for
post match drinks. We also train at Farnham Park, with sessions taking place on Sunday
afternoons from 3:00pm until 5:00pm in pre-season and then Monday evenings from 6:30pm
until 9:00pm during the season.
We are always on the look out for new players, experienced or not, so if you would like
to take up the sport or start playing after a break then please contact us.
